Memories

Memories is a series of images that became an outlet for me to express my grief. Every image has an overlay of baby photos that were saved at an extremely low resolution, causing the image to become abstracted and providing a haziness to the photographs. These images were then overlayed onto places associated with my memories of the baby photos. By incorporating my photography with nostalgic images of my loved ones, it has given me a way to reflect on what that person meant to me. Alongside these overlapping images, I’ve included scans of these old photographs with physical memories I’ve collected over time. As a result, this piece became the remembrance of feelings that are so special and yet unattainable.
