Vivid Reverie

Color becomes a language of its own in my work. It inspires me to communicate beyond words, evoking the unique energy of each subject. By fragmenting and reassembling images, I aim to create a dynamic portrait that captures the complexity and evolution of a person over time. To achieve this, I started by collecting lumen prints, light photography, and colorful objects. Then, I combined my portraits with these abstract images utilizing digital collage. In the same vein, my multimedia video is physically manipulated frame by frame using paint, markers, and etching. Allowing myself to be free flowing with the process, this project became inspiring for both me and my subjects. These bright, vivid tones mirror the fluidity and depth of identity, suggesting that the self is not a fixed or uniform entity but a spectrum of experiences, moods, and histories. These colors are charged and purposeful, integral to the subject’s narrative by showcasing their true self.
